The story of Valerie "Val" Tyler and her younger sister, Holly Tyler. Val Tyler is an uptight taskmaster who is very organized and somewhat neurotic. Holly is a rambunctious and narcissistic teenager ...The story of Valerie "Val" Tyler and her younger sister, Holly Tyler. Val Tyler is an uptight taskmaster who is very organized and somewhat neurotic. Holly is a rambunctious and narcissistic teenager who doesn't want to move to Japan where her father has a new job, arranging instead to move into her older sister Val's apartment in New York City. The show featured two strong sisters who love each other. They have equally loyal friends. A key theme of the series is the Tyler sisters' exploits in love. Val's boyfriend Jeff seen in the first season was one of four love interests. She was briefly attracted to two of her bosses Vic and later Peter. Valerie was later engaged to an old flame, Rick, and later got married to Vic after a drunken night in Atlantic City. Holly's first love interest was Henry. She later dated Ben before hooking up with her true love Vince. One constant, though, was their love for each other.
