StageVu's Recent Problems - what to do

At first, when StageVu dropped the "Channels" option a couple of weeks ago, I felt sorry for the people who were complaining that they were no longer able to find anything to watch without the channels, but as time has passed, I have been searching and have found that they are really not all that bad off. I suspect that most of us found the site by looking for a peticuliar movie, only to find it here. We soon came to check out the site and found it to be about the best free site around if your interest is simply to find movies to watch. So, what has changed in that respect? The movies are still here, and if you were to search the way you did to find them before, you still would. It is less convenient. Yes, this is what is making so many of you cry like a baby that has dropped it's toy. The toy is still there, but you have to reach out to grab it.
A few of us have been actively involved in finding channels, and in making new ones for you. I happen to know the Bombshell_2 has already spent about 100 hours searching for movies and creating new channels to bookmark them to. How many of you can say that? And yet all that work has been done, without complaint, for the viewers. Bombshell_2 has already checked around  5 thousand channels and is still going, and yet you still complain. This is still the best site that I know of, and if you were only to find it today, you would still be impressed with the content, if you would only learn how to use the advanced search features. We are extremely fortunate to have found this site. I have been crippled for several years, and with no income, this site is one of the best things for me. I have yet to ever here the administrators complain that I can't afford to pay them. If I had it, I would gladly contribute to this site. Comments have been posted lately, asking where else to turn to find other free sites that will compare while StageVu is under repair. Other than a couple of references to Hulu and VeeHD, I haven't seen any suggestions. If there are other excellent free sites, which require very little knowledge to get a great amount of output, please, post them here. Otherwise, stop your calfballing. If I were the administrator, I would probably have been much less patient, having offered a free service.
Now as for "Channels". just look in the Help topic "Channels, Channels, Channels" to find an excellent selection to get you by. I an not only grateful to Bomblshell_2, but to all who have posted some of their channels there to get us by. The "Channels" function was not all inclusive anyway, but only a glimpse of what is available. Only a few of the posted channels were really the best ones. Many of the truly good ones would need to be searched out anyway. There have been something like 140,000 channels made in the last couple of years, so obviously, the "channel" search was a very small glimpse. Just find a name of a movie publisher an check out their site, it's as simple as that!!! So, what's so hard about that? there are hundreds of these sites readily available by simply checking the channels offered by our generous friends at the "Channels, Channels, Channels" posting.
The only real viewing problem that I can see is for the people who were watching a series (TV, etc.) which was not posted with a full description. These could be hard to find.
The biggest problem right now is not with channels availability, but rather in not being able to upload. We are getting backlogged with things to upload, and none of the new stuff is reaching the site. A lot can be missed in a couple of weeks.
If you have been able to find the support forum and place your complaints here, then you should also be able to find an excellent selection of movies from the channels that our friends have offered us. Unless you are looking for specific TV series, or porn, I realize that those are harder to find without the "Channels" function. If you have read this, an have your own channels to share with us, please post them along with the others. As for the rest of you, please, limit your comments in the help forums. They take up a lot of space unnecessarily, making it harder to read the helpful posts.  Thank You.

It's nice to see that someone has a decent opinion. I am so tired of the complaints.

Once again, we remind users that copyrighted content is forbidden. Please do not upload them or post links to them in the forum, as they will be removed due to them being against our terms of use.

On an unrelated note, uploading will be re-enabled soon. A few weeks maximum, probably much less than that. Please stay patient, and we will certainly announce it when it's ready.

since neither veehd or stagevu are allowing uploads, I suggest everyone switch over to veoh.com
