18+ nudity poll (no question)

+8 votes
this is not a question it is a comment!!

i got a poll question about nudity and sex about a movie i wanted to see BEFORE iv even seen it, is that smart ? asking a person if their is violence and or nudity in a movie whilst u have not even seen the movie, and this new point system i really dont like and i dont like this support either,

now ur asking people to make a judgement about a movie about nudity BEFORE they seen the movie, and because they are all lil point horney people (most of them) they will just fill in a random answer and the uploader gets stuck with the rotten eggs..

ask that question AFTER the movie, not before, and what are these points for, i read so stagevu knows who is the biggest contributer, what a load of bullshit, people just click on 20000 movies fill in that random sex poll question (at random too) and ur points are earned, and what did we earn with them points a cookie ??

i wish u spend more time about thinking of a upgrade before u start making it..a good plan is half the work.

here is how u can judge any movie at any time and get the nudity poll question,
just add a # behind the movie name for example :

normal movie:
http://stagevu.com/video/xepwawaavwjc

movie with poll first:
http://stagevu.com/video/xepwawaavwjc#

i think this can be a brand new way for people to pester each other.. just smite a movie to death saying theyre is sex in it and ur done it will go to the 18+ list out of view to people with kidde lock..

or am i wrong...

I think the # symbol just means it's a java script link. If you hover over a java script link (like Log out or Actions) and look at the url (firefox: bottom left corner) you will see the # symbol at the end of all of them.
The poll is randomly shown, with about a one in five chance. The URL doesn't change anything.

This is not an answer.

lets hope that ppl use the popup "yes no" thing in the right way.

What i do is use the "hide" tab then is a file contains...
"full frontal nudity, sexually explicit scenes, or extremely (and we mean extremely) graphic violence"...and it is notmarked up as mature, i will refresh the page and click "yes"...and if it does not contain any of the above i will click "no".
If i dont want to take part in the "yes no" thing i will not take part.

And yes you are right it should be in at the end or something.

My opinion is that if an uploader uploads..."full frontal nudity, sexually explicit scenes, or extremely (and we mean extremely) graphic violence not suitable for those under 18?"
Should mark it up as mature in the 1st place...You dont get the "yes no" thing pop up when you click on a file marked up as mature.

Before you view

Does this video feature full frontal nudity, sexually explicit scenes, or extremely (and we mean extremely) graphic violence not suitable for those under 18?

   Yes    No

Thank you for taking five seconds to improve Stagevu's categorization!

Note: The more people that vote with you, the more Points you will get.

I think this comment is one of the best up here. I also noticed that the other day when I finally decided to watch a video here (something I haven't done in months, maybe a year). It makes ZERO sense to ask people if the film contains nudity or anything else before they've seen it.

Naturally if the film is titled something like "Candy Creamer's Lesbian Anal Extravaganza" its a pretty sure bet it might have SOME sex and nudity in it, but for films like Chloe (for instance), or a series like Big Love (which doesnt show sex or nudity scenes with any regularity) how the heck is someone supposed to know!?

I mean I briefly read some comments about how some viewers go through a rigmarole of convoluted b.s. to determine it before hand, but I'm NOT GOING TO ANY OF THAT! MOST VIEWERS AREN'T EITHER.

They come here to watch a film; not take polls, or enter an "x" (or any other letter) in between the http;?? and address, or any other nonsense!

Its ridiculous and much like our questioner stated, it would be a far better idea in my opinion to put all the resources, time and attention being spent on creating absurd polls and this joke of a Q&A forum (along with the equally absurd points system)  onto getting the site up and running like it used to be, instead.

i know! and adding a # will allow trolsl to troll and add nudity tag to things that dont require one

it is also a matter of where you are from, i my self am Dutch and all most all Dutch movies have boobs, ass and some form of sex in them we in The Netherlands dont even have a 18+ grade the most is a 16+ grade,
also in the Nehterlands as in most parts of europe all beaches are also topless beaches so we are not as squeemisch as for exampe americans, who see one lil titty and then fall to they're knees and ask god for forgiveness for seeing one lil titty.. it is a culture thing, we Europeans are more relaxed and view it as a womans right to go topless, and we think it is natural.. so a boob in a movie wont bother a european as much as it would a american (just a example)..

frontal nudity is normal no need for a mature tag on that,  as long as you dont see a sex acts preformed it aint mature it is what we call soft porn (kiddie porn) and so what if kids see a boob or a piece of ass, its the way we were all made, just natural.

this whole grading system boils down to a couple of things,
1, if your european or not
2, how you were raised are u a bible freak or just a normal person.
3, your view on life and the male, female body,

this whole classification can go overboard fast, if people mark it as mature yet theire is only 1 seconed of a boob in the whole movie..
if theyre is one curse word in the movie you can say it is mature content yet the lil kids nowadays have cursed 1200 times before lunch time, so lets no go overboard.
