The best thing I suggest for you is to re-encode your videos so as to skip the encoding process. Check out Stagevu's Help for more info.

Or, you can like me compress the movie into a much smaller size using the H.264 codec. and upload it. A 700 Mb movie to a 250 Mb one. It will take a much less time to upload, but has to go encoding.
