Have you seen Blame It On Fidel? It’s a film by Costa-Gavras’ daughter (as we’re on the subject of female directors), and it’s a fantastic look at communism through a child’s POV. ms.disorderly has uploaded it.
Moodyson has a couple other films I like, Lilja4ever and Fucking Amal. Lilja4ever might be too violent for you, but the latter is a coming-of-age story, very entertaining.
OK get ready cause I am uploading a must-see South Korean film, full of profanity and violence. I hope it makes it this time, it's about 1 Gb and keeps failing to upload.
He’s saying (yelling?) we’re so screwed up we got ourselves in this mess in the first place. Bam! TV splattered with blood. Funny.
Haneke is wonderful as a philosopher in cinema, he has a lot of films that I can’t judge like I do others- there’s always a meta-narrative, a hidden agenda with this director. Like Socrates he makes people think about things they take for granted, by asking them simple questions that go beyond the screen. You’ll leave his films a broken, but better person. I may be a bit sadistic but I found Funny Games quite funny you know, as it’s outdated in blaming things like TV for all the violence in the world.
It’s so strange this comments system, there isn’t an option to receive alerts as far as I know.
