A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon is a 2001 documentary written, produced, and directed ...A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Moon is a 2001 documentary written, produced, and directed by Nashville, Tennessee-based filmmaker and investigative journalist Bart Winfield Sibrel, a critic of the United States space program and proponent of the theory that the six Apollo lunar landing missions between 1969 and 1972 were hoaxes perpetrated by the US Government. Sibrel's claims of a lunar landing hoax have been widely refuted and laid to rest by the scientific and space science communities.

Sibrel believes that there were numerous insurmountable scientific and technical problems which made it improbable that men could land on the moon and return to Earth safely. Further, he believes that certain anomalies and inconsistencies in NASA's records of the landings point to a hoax, and that the space race was actually a race to develop armaments, citing a 95 percent similarity between the technologies that allowed the launch of intercontinental ballistic missiles and the launch of the Saturn V rockets.

Bart Sibrel claims that NASA perpetrated a fraud, because of the perception that if the United States could put a man on the moon before the Soviet Union did it would be a major victory in the Cold War, since the Soviets had been the first to achieve a successful space launch (Sputnik in 1957), the first manned space flight (Vostok 1 in 1961), and the first spacewalk (Voskhod 2 in 1965).

SharkTime - There are no stars in the photos taken on the moon, because they were taken during Lunar Daytime hours. It would be almost impossible for such an old camera to have exposed the film at such a high rate of speed for the stars to have been visible, even against the black velvet of Lunar Sky.

If the photos are fake then why not make them believable? It's hard for me to believe that the government would go to the trouble of orchestrating such an elaborate hoax like this and then get amateurs to produce such poor quality fakes. I'm not sure why this is even an issue anyway. Going to the moon is not that big of a deal for anyone anymore, so what's the fuss? Also, keep in mind. If the government did something like this to fool us, they would have to fool a lot more than just the american public. There is a whole big world out there with a lot of countries that have lots of scientist who you'd think would know better. In this case, I would think it would have to be a conspiracy of global proportion to pull this off. My hats off to anyone who could do that! A funny thought, what if the government was in fact the ones that started the whole moon hoax accusation in the first place?...it would make you wonder then, what they really found on the moon, huh? *big grin*

If the Apollo missions really landed men on the moon, someone please refer me to actual photos archived online of Apollo mission photographs with stars visible from the lunar landscape so that i can readily cite such data whenever doubts are raised. This is an open challenge and should decide the issue. I won't take bullshi_ from a deceptive government or its conditioned lemmings.

Those who take the time to watch the whole documentary can see for themselves that the photos are faked, either during the shot with the multiple shadow angles and anomalies or afterward with the overlay compositing. There is also no blast crater/marking beneath the supposed lunar lander. If they really did land on the moon, why the falsifications? [to win the space race at any cost] Why was a superior cam used in the cabin yet a junk cam used on the supposed lunar surface for the supposed evidence of the moon's gravity? Why are there no stars in the photos??? Even if we concede that the pics were adjusted for clarity of the foreground, why were there no pics specifically taken of the stars from the lunar scape ???

If Apollo 11 really did reach the moon, why wasnt video taken of the moon from Apollo's window? The astronauts could only get live footage of the earth? Why do we pay income tax when the law only allows for taxing the profits and not wages? How dumb can society get ? Is there anyone else left able to ask the proper questions anymore ? I'm no longer convinced that America landed men on the moon, and that has nothing to do with my level of patriotism. NASA is part of the military and the astronauts were subjected to MKUltra which are 2 reasons why they get so genuinely incensed when their record is called into question.
