A writer who does travel reviews for the spookiest places to visit gets an invitation, and the room service to 1408 is directly from hell. This one will make you think twice about seeking thrills in such places. Excellent movie. Enjoy!

I think this ending is much better. The other ending leaves you wondering if there will be a sequel, and they usually suck.

The is the ORIGINAL ending, before the director (and King, I assume) re-wrote the final scene because lame movie audiences wanted a happy ending. This is the one to watch...the rewritten ending plain sux.

The movie was okay, Sam jackson only used the f*** word once, that is sad.
In a nutshell without John Cusack, or Samuel Jackson this would have been a "B" rated flick.
