Like to answer crazynome first; Why; in 45 the NAVY trusted Hollywood to keep their big mouths shut on the capabilities of our subs, Learning from their mistakes, The modern NAVY revels it's subs capabilities, Hence the old standards.
As for the movie, A great flick, little known or used actors, A fair & plausible storyline added to that the suspense & you get a great flick. 5/5 stars
