The chinese were fighting it in 37, but the real war started when hitler invaded poland (not much to take there, I know) in 39, and the british responded.
I know we as brits owe our freedom to the US, but they owe their to us in some way as well. And if we hadnt held them off for those first 2 years the USA would have been conquered for sure, and so would russia.
I hate how these kind of shows, good as they are, leave out those first years of the war like they never happened, and there was peace until pearl harbor or something. Wake up
