Anticristul a fost scris de Anders Thomas Jensen si Lars von Trier si in principiu este povestea unui cuplu fericit (Gainsbourg si Dafoe) care fac un copil si devin o familie fericita. Asta pana cand copilul lor moare iar cei doi decid sa se izoleze si sa se retraga intr-o cabana in padure unde sunt martorii unor fenomene stranii si intamplari oribile.
