...Colossus is a massive supercomputer created in order to control all of the U.S.'s defense systems and thereby defend mankind from nuclear annihilation. Upon activation, Colossus voraciously consumes all of mankind's accumulated knowledge. All hell breaks loose when Colossus detects a previously unknown Soviet supercomputer called Guardian and then demands an open channel be established so that the two brains can freely communicate. Both scientists and government officials alike soon realize that what was originally intended for mankind's defense has now evolved into mankind's enslavement...
