Why am I always excited to see Clive's movies and always feel betrayed after.
He's very tallented when it comes to narative but it never translates well to the screen. Is it the screen writers? Is it production? Is it the directing? Is it terrible acting? Maybe all of the above.

On that same note, amazingmind, one could go so far as to fault Clive Barker on distorting or disrespecting Robert Jordan simply because he made mention of 'The Wheel of Time'. Or, in distorting and disrespecting Christianity for misrepresenting its monks.
I think, as there was no intention of posing this film as anything but fiction, a little artistic license should be overlooked. After all, is it not the very purpose of the fiction writer to present information creatively?
If, after consideration is put to this, anyone still takes umbrage in the alteration of ancient Islamic mythology, one could consider that it was a Christian priest who called them 'demons'. Surely, anyone following a creed other than Islam and, after death, were posed those questions, answering anything but 'Allah', 'Islam', and 'Muhammad'...what would happen? They would be chastised until judgment day. To any non-Islamic, that sounds a bit like the work of 'demons' if you'll forgive my use of the term...

it,s amazing how producers who make movies take information from recorded history and old text form scriptures, folk law, Greek mythology ancient myths, some real some real fake, now from what i know some things should not be changed, it should be left the way it was, but i guess when you have people with the pretense to distort information and change the perception of people reality what the hell people watch movies and love it not knowing anything about what is being projected" sorry i get real profound in my statements.
any who" the purpose for my words is that the correct view of this movie in my opinion is to distort and disrespect ISLAM , which is a very beautiful way of life, munkar and Nakir are not demons, they are the two angels who will approach you when you are in the grave according to Islamic beliefs, and will ask you 3 questions (1)who is you lord (2)what is your religion (3)who is your prophet. do the research yourself G-D Bless peace:
