However, Finland refused to cooperate with Germany while they were in alliance with the Nazis, and when the force of the massive Soviet army invaded the tiny nation of Finland near the end of November, the results were startling and unexpected -- Finish resistance forces not only met the Russian army head-on, but managed to fight them to a standstill in the midst of one of the most brutal winters in recorded history.

This is 1 of my favorite movies,of a small country against the red army.my own family fought in the winterwar and it still today leaves a mark in finlands history.

The Winter War.You almost feel the pain and suffer of those men.......
