Charlie Chaplin's last film. Marlon Brando[Ogden Mears] plays an American millionaire leaving Hong Kong to assume an ambassadorship. He discovers Sophia Loren[Natascha]--playing a daughter of Russian aristocrat and a former gangster moll--concealed in his closet on board the outbound ship,hoping to gain passage to the States. Brando,looking none too pleased, agrees to help her,with not terribly comic or romantic results. Complications set in when his wife, Martha, joins the trip at Honolulu,necessitating a 'marriage' of Natascha to Ogden's valet,Hudson, her saronged-dive overboard and more and more subterfuge on the part of Ogden and his associate, Harvey.
