En un laboratorio universitario, el Gobierno de USA está por concluir el secretísimo proyecto ...En un laboratorio universitario, el Gobierno de USA está por concluir el secretísimo proyecto Questor, consistente en la creación de un androide casi perfecto, de acuerdo con las instrucciones y material dejados por el desaparecido profesor Vaslovik. Pero las cintas que debían activar al androide Questor fueron parcialmente borrados por los científicos que trataban de descifrarlas. Tras "despertar", Questor escapará del laboratorio y, tras adquirir una apariencia humana normal, secuestrará al científico Jerry Robinson y partirá a busca a su creador, el Dr. Vaslovik, el único que podrá aclarar los vacíos de Questor en su cerebro electrónico... y con qué oculto propósito él diseñó a este androide inteligente.
