Inaccurately Titled or Categorized Videos
Update: After two warnings, for those of you have still not changed the videos accordingly, those videos have been removed. Sorry, but we have to ensure that its videos are accessible, for the sake of our users.
Hello everyone,
It was previously brought to our attention that many videos uploaded to this site were uploaded in bad faith, to be used only for embedding. In this sense, these videos were uploaded:
- With inaccurate or incomplete names
- Labelled with misleading category classifications
- In short, uploaded so that they would be all but inaccessible and impossible to find using our regular search functions.
Stagevu is a video sharing site, not a video hosting website. The purpose of uploading a video to Stagevu is to share it in the world, not to hide it in an obscure corner of the internet. As a result, Stagevu will now be removing all inaccurately labelled or categorized videos, starting the coming Wednesday.
If your videos are miscategorized or have bad titles that do not reflect the underlying content, you can edit your videos' information by going to My Videos and changing their titles and categories. Do not put part of the title in the description of the video, and avoid all unnecessary punctuation. Viewers should be able to figure out the specific nature of the clip by looking at just the title.
