During World War II, a group of G.I.s are thrown together in the notorious German prison camp Stalag 17. For the most part, they spend their time scheming ways to help each other escape. But when two prisoners are killed in an escape attempt, it becomes obvious that there is a spy among them. William Holden was awarded an Oscar for his performance as a cynical, sharp-tongued soldier who spends his time scheming up rackets and trading with the Germans for special privileges.

this is defensibly one of the best CLASSIC POW movies I have ever seen, The quality of acting delivered by Holden is complimented by Don Taylor (Dunbar) and Peter Graves (Price). Also watch for the couple scenes where Harvey Lembeck (Shapiro) and Robert Strauss (Animal) work together to get a laugh or two. all in all this movie is great and I'd recommend it to any World war II movie buff to add to their collection.

This is one of my favorite WWII movies - since it was the precursor to Hogan's Heroes. I get the 403 / Forbidden error on this one. I hope you get it fixed soon so I can watch it again. It has been years.
