Director John Milius does a great job in catching the feeling of the time; especially the Mexico trip, and the friendships...
IMDB says it...Malibu, California, 1962. Matt the Enforcer (Jan-Michael Vincent), Jack (William Katt), and Leroy the Masochist (Gary Busey) are the three best surfers of the beach.
