I discovered Edgar Rice BUrroughs when I was a lad of 12 years old. The Entire Martian "John Carter" Series and the Entire Tarzan Series were available in a store and I went ape sh*t. Then I started collecting Pellucidar and fell in love with the Venus Series and many others. This movie did a good job, but now there is a new John Carter movie. I guess Hollywood needs to make it 3 or 4 times in 2 years. This one was a good point of view (a lot of poetic license taken, but otherwise a good job). Maybe if I publish my 14 novels, I can roll over in my grave when someone butchers my efforts. Worth watching a time or two.

This is a well done movie about an injured soldier, who's life can be saved by teleporting him to Mars 216; a planet in another solar system. He must then make friends with the natives, fight off monsters, rescue the princess from his enemy, and save the planet. A solid and familiar plot, like the one's I use in my chronicles of, "The traveler" and the lost colony from Earth; books 1-5 for sale on Amazon.com for only $3.69 and $4.20 a download. Enjoy!
