At a Los Angeles hospital in the 1920s, Alexandria is a child recovering from a broken arm. She befriends Roy Walker, a movie stunt man with legs paralyzed after a fall. At her request, Roy tells her an elaborate story about six men of widely varied backgrounds who are on a quest to kill a corrupt provincial governor. Between chapters of the story, Roy inveigles Alexandria to scout the hospital's pharmacy for morphine. As Roy's fantastic tale nears its end, Death seems close at hand.

Great story and wonderful sub plots, choice of locations (the oh so magnificent Jodhpur fort and Blue city, the Lake Palace of Udaipur and even the Taj Mahal!
I particularly loved the portrayal of the truth about Darwin, namely that his theory was stolen from the little Welsh ‘monkey’ Wallace who foolishly trusted Darwin to peer review his work on species diversification in South East Asia only for Darwin to pull out the mouldy old finches he gathered from the Galapagos seven years earlier and to present Wallaces ground breaking discoveries as his own.
How this movie never achieved the recognition it deserves is proof to me how ignorant and badly educated the majority of film critics and general public really are.
This is a must see movie that you will really enjoy and in the final words of the excellent child actress of this movie (Catinca Untaru) Thank you, thank you very much!
