Yeah, no, the pots the Izraelites used in their hill settlements were very like the canaanite ones, and other household items, so, they must have been canaanites. Just like if you dug up my house later and, just because you found the Chinese telly I use, you concluded I here in the UK was an offshoot of Chinese blood lineage and culture (which I'm not, although using products created through slavery in everything but name cannot be without long term consequences) - an object lesson in vainglorious egotism, scientists are as emotional as the rest of society, they just hide it better.Report

Thank you for posting this Trumpy8, I found it stimulating in its dissapointingness. This docu spends more time with flowery animations and fails to explain many of the premises and conclusions it champions. Pretending to be rigorous, this is a spurious, sly and subtle serpentine load of arrogant fluff designed to mislead budget-makers and children (produced by NOVA, a propaganda vessel of choice for the illuminati establishment).Report

Many gratuitously self-serving assumptive leaps made, typical of arrogant Empire Science, lets just summarize two:1. The Bible blatantly asserting itself to be a true historical account e.g. in using the wording 'These are the generations of..' many times in Genesis, but because it doesn't say 'This is the history of..' what are hammeringly called 'biblical scholars' conclude the Bible is anthological, iterative, not intended as a historical account.
2. It takes searching the pbs website to find e.g. why these 'biblical scholars' (who are archeologists first and unskilled in the scriptures) think that the Izraelites were indigenous to Canaan: because their ideosynchratic settlements are found on virgin rock up in the hills, whereas the settlements with typically Canaanite architecture are found in the valleys. But so what? One could conclude many things from such a single premise. E.g There are many examples of settlements placed deliberately high up to be more easily defended.
