...A masterpiece of crime films and one of my all time favourites.
McCoy (Steve McQueen) is a master thief, and he's in jail. His wife, also a thief (McGraw), pleads her husband's case with the head of the local mob Boss, and favours are called and palms are greased and McCoy is given probation with the condition that he plan and execute a heist for this Boss.
The "job" turns ugly. People are killed. But the McCoys get away with the cash. When they take it to the Boss, it turns out that Mrs. McCoy has been exploited by the Boss in more than one way while Mr. was in jail. In a fit of rage, Mrs. McCoy kills the Boss. And now both McCoys are on the run from the mob henchmen and killers, on the run and trying to getaway.
