Kit Kittredge: An American Girl (2008)

Hey, what a good movie this is, a real family film not just a kid's movie, I really enjoyed it. Abigail Breslin is becoming quite a little star, I've seen her in a few things now.. wasn't she the youngest child in 'Raising Helen' with Kate Hudson, funnily enough Joan Cusack was in that one too, she's an amazing character player. So, high praise for this lovely entertainment.. it's a lot of fun and Thanks for posting it here! Px :))

This is such an excellent movie!! I saw it several times when it was in the theaters. I'm so glad that I found this site too.
Obviously, the target audience is children (esp. girls); however I believe it is a good & appropriate movie that just about anyone of any age would appreciate (except for people who are cynical & apathetic).
This movie helps to teach good values & instill virtue in young people. It is a clean, wholesome movie that is refreshing in this age of bad movies that flow from the sewer pipes of Hollywood.
I especially like that it shows love & compassion for poor and homeless people(the movie takes place during the Great Depression years in the U.S.).
I can relate to this somewhat, having spent a season of time a few years ago being homeless myself. It was the compassion & material help of many people that allowed me to survive & enabled me to ultimately gain my independence.
All in all, this is a movie very well made; with a happy ending!! JeffB.

Great movie! I loe abigale breslin, at first i thought it wasn't that great but, the more the story evolved i saw how one part led into another and that very slow begining was important to the rest of the story. I really enjoy how true it stayed to the actual book.
