Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, the grown-reluctant ogre agrees to autograph pitch forks. However, he longs for the days when he felt like a "real ogre". So, Shrek is tricked into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin (Walt Dohrn). Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where Fiona (Cameron Diaz) is a hunted ogre, Rumpelstiltskin is king, Donkey (Eddie Murphy) has never met Shrek in his life, Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) is obese and lazy, and Shrek and Fiona had never met. Now Shrek must stop Rumpelstiltskin from his deeds and make the world right again.
