The quality is bad because it is an 8mm made when Bruce and Sam were in college. It was shown to potential investors for the Evil Dead movies.

It is not so much Kudos for Ramie and Co here, but like any other director with a body of work, it is nice to see the genesis of their career. The humble beginnings is what makes it special. What would you expect to see from Spielberg after all, a version of Duel that looked like Indiana Jones IV? But you are right in that I would not sit and watch this short over and over live the subsequent Evil Dead films.

I think this is the only quality available now, Though i was a fan of the evil dead i think sometimes too much kudos is given to directors/writers covering all there work, this does not deserve to be called a classic in any way, personally i think i could do as good as this and i think all you guys reading this can do better too.
Lets not forget the classic horror mogul Dario Argento did mainly Poor films with one or two classics as the exception.

thankyou for putting this video here but unfortunatly the quality was so terribad i could barely make out any of the movie. If you can find another copy i would appreciate it. I happen to be a big evil dead fan and would eventually like to see this.
