The hero --played here by Tristram Coffin, a solid character actor who somehow did not look the part but performed here very well-- flies thanks to a Rocket suit.
He tries to stop an evil genius (Dr. Vulcan) who is killing a group of scientists one by one. But one of the scientists is Dr. Vulcan himself. Which one?
On a light note: the serial climaxes with a colossal and complete destruction of Manhattan (lifted from another movie) but in spite of the perhaps millions of casualties, ends up in an uplifting tone and everybody seems happy.
